Innovating the Future of Renewable Energy in Nigeria

The RETTI Research and Development aims To transform Africa’s energy poverty into energy prosperity by harnessing renewable energy resources (solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal) for sustainable development and climate change mitigation through applied research, innovation, and clean energy production.

Three main research areas Key Areas of Focus

Solar PV materials science and engineering

Investigating new materials and improving existing ones to enhance the efficiency, durability, and cost-effectiveness of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems

Photovoltaic cell technology

Advancing the technology behind photovoltaic cells to increase their performance and reduce manufacturing costs

Generating Hydrogen through the integration of Floating Solar PV

Generating Hydrogen through the integration of Floating Solar PV to an existing hydro power facility. (which can be broken down to: Floating solar PV systems, Hydrogen production and integration).
